I don’t really want to start exercising, nor do I really have the time, energy or money for a gym membership, but it would be nice to not feel out of breath going upstairs anymore. BUT what I’d really like is some reassurance that it’s actually safe?? That me getting out of breath is just because I’m out of shape, not because I have a heart condition that might kill me if I start exercising. I’ve lived with a mystery irregular heartbeat for 5 or more years now and you’re always waiting for The Big One – you don’t want to exacerbate it, or tempt it over that fatal line. 😐
And even if you asked the doctor, they can’t tell you for definite anyway. So in the meantime you just avoid exertion because you don’t want to be reminded of your unfitness/potentially dangerously unstable cardio-respiratory system.
Whatever!
