It’s like Hamilton wants people to hate him…
He’s such a talented driver, but it’s so hard to have any respect for him when he makes such comments.
What I don’t get is…how does this make him look good? As a driver, I mean. Because he’s basically making out that all his competition aren’t that great, when surely it would be a better idea to acknowledge their achievements and their abilities and be happy in the knowledge that you’ve still beaten them. It doesn’t make any sense to me.
It’s no secret that I’m not a Lewis fan. But even leaving bias aside, I actually just don’t think he’s that bright. He constantly says things and has to retract them – not because they’re said in the heat of the moment, or are out there and controversial, but just because they’re a poor choice of words, or lack any kind of awareness of situations around him. It’s like he knows there’s pressure on him to not be a ~robot driver~ controlled by PR, but he’s not smart enough to actually do it properly.
