1. Talk about the first ship you ever had.
Oh man, I don’t even remember cos I’ve been a shipper literally forever. When I was a kid I shipped het pairs in all my fave TV shows and books, including non-canon pairs/pairs that weren’t the ones you were supposed to ship, though I can’t remember specifics now. Eg I’m sure I must’ve shipped Maid Marian with *someone*, but I cannot remember who, though I’m hoping it was Barrington rather than Robin, lol. I even shipped athletes – I remember shipping Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf when they both won Wimbledon, years before they got married, so fingers crossed for the rest of my OTPs eh
2. Talk about three of the most important ships throughout your life.
Heero/Duo from Gundam Wing, for sure, cos they were the first pairing I wrote a large quantity of fic for, and I guess the first proper pairing community I was a part of. Plus there was a MOUNTAIN of fic for them, so I had a lot of happy times there.
Yasuba, because that was SO REAL and they’ve made awesome music together and it’s easy to believe something actually could’ve happened there before Subaru freaked out lol >.>
And ofc Rolipe, in part cos they’re my current OTP and have been for over 5 years now, but also cos, again, there’s a really great and tangible chemistry between them and the what-ifs and headcanons are rich and plentiful. Plus there’s some really top class fic for them, and all the Rolipe shippers I’ve met are also top class folks and I’m glad to know ‘em :3b
23. Which of your ships deserve better writing?
(I answered this question before I considered that actually it’s probably more about canon fictional ships and their creators lol, but safe in the knowledge that I’m not really a part of these fandoms I wrote a meaner answer about the fic in them lol >.>)
Because of who asked me this I am ofc put in mind of NEARLY ALL MY PRINCE OF TENNIS SHIP man I boarded every ghost ship going in that fandom and had to adopt some more populous ships almost out of desperation lol. Momo/Ryoma was a particularly bad example, I seem to recall – very rare you got anything decent for them, cos people in that fandom just didn’t like cheeriness ;(
Also Freddie/Brian in Queen fandom, which is 99% awf except that one amazing writer. I don’t like that skew!
