I’d forgotten how frustrating it is in fics when people CAN’T JUST HAVE A PROPER CONVERSATION like does it not jar you as a writer for people to not say what they mean and work through obstacles??? I can say this as a Rolipe writer cos it’s v v easy to get those guys to talk openly about stuff lol but as a writer, writing smooth dialogue and an elegant resolution is THE most satisfying thing, and it’d really annoy me to leave conversations unfinished and issues unsolved. And it frustrates me as a reader because too often I feel like my own questions are left unanswered and I’m left with a niggling feeling that a thread has been left hanging. Like, even an argument is fine, just don’t leave things half-said because it upsets the flow of the fic too much!
