Argh this is a super hard question, haha! I have to have You’re My Waterloo, clearly, and Fame and Fortune has a very special place in my heart. But what should be my third pick?? I seriously can’t pick between Belly of the Beast and Glasgow Coma Scale Blues. But i think the former has to win, if only for that incredible line “Pound for pound, blow for blow/You’re the most messed up motherfucker I know”. 👌 Thanks!

As I’ve said before, EXTREMELY CONTROVERSIALLY this is my least favourite libs album, haha. My favourite song on it is What Became of the Likely Lads, which tells you exactly where my masochistic streak lies, lol, and my other two favourites are Road to Ruin and What Katie Did. Clearly it’s a completely fascinating album and there’s moments of great insight and great pain and great poetry, but there are also several tracks that are, to my ears, just too flimsy to stand up in this company, and would be better substituted for the superior CSMN b-sides. But I’m always up for discussion of this! And today I was in a place with a ha-ha so have had a certain song in my head all afternoon lol. Thanks for asking! 😉
