you know when you read a piece of writing so effortless, so graceful and unpretentious that you are both a) thrilled to the point that you have to put it down and walk in a quick circle to make it last longer but also b) PHYSICALLY INCAPACITATED with snarling jealousy and rage
(This one I assume!) ✦ What musicians did you like 5 years ago? 10 years ago?
10 years ago is easy, I was fully ensconced in Kanjani8 then, even though 2008 was a year that should have been theirs but, for some reason, was not, and they didn’t even release an album ;( Though I did go and see them and it was still great 🙂
5 years ago, hmm, that’s 2013 and I was already at the tail end of my Monkees phase, but not yet in my Queen phase, wow, I’m actually a bit shocked! But 2013 was the year K8 released Jukebox, my favourite of their albums, so, just like 5 years previously, I was probably deeply immersed in them again, haha. Eighter 4 lyfe~~
♫ Name your top 3 albums from your favorite band/artist.
Heh, well the Libs only have 3 (incidentally my order of preference goes Up the Bracket > AFDY > The Libertines I’M SORRY OK I KNOW THAT’S WRONG) but for a more interesting answer here’s my top 3 Beatles albums:
1) Revolver 2) The White Album 3) Abbey Road
(Again I know that’s ~wrong but idgaf, haha)
ø If you could play any musical instrument, what would it be?
I actually always wanted to play the clarinet. And I love Dixieland jazz so I’d still pick that!
If you were a song, what song would you be and why?
Oh wow that’s an interesting question! I have to say that the last time I saw David Devant & His Spirit Wife I found their song I’m Not Even Going to Try more relatable than ever, lol: I hope that you understand/What it means to me/Just to live a lovely life/That is prospect free~
☢ Do you still buy CDs? Which was the last CD you bought?
I haven’t bought a CD in a number of years now – the last one I bought was probably either something by Kanjani8, or an obscure world music album, haha. I have been scouring the charity shops lately though, because I know sooner or later I’ll come across a copy of Up the Bracket for like £1.50 and I’ll have to pick it up, haha.
