The only thing stopping me buying a ticket for Scarborough on Tuesday is the crushing weight of society’s judgement
The Libertines – Anthem for Doomed Youth (Warrington Parr Hall, 22/9/17)
Look out for: it all going a bit wonky in the middle; Gary on backing vocals

@ohsososophisticated “city of culcha”

Another thought: I’m really glad Carl is singing the “i spent three days on my back” line from Campaign of Hate because i like that image
I’m still overwhelmed but stuff from Hull gig: Peter kissed Carl on the cheek and me and @ohsososophisticated cooed so much; Carl stole Peter’s hat for a bit then gave it back; that microphone was shiiiit; Carl said “twist and shout” and I got so excited I nearly broke my fucking neck; I thought they kissed at one point but they didn’t; they did a bit of suicide in the trenches; was John’s mic on?; Gary has got Serious Moves; the setlist was fabulous and I’ll admit there were a few songs I don’t know well that I’m looking forward to revisiting; Peter was weirdly normal; Carl Barât is the sexiest motherfucker I have ever laid eyes on.
Some stuff i forgot! Not the last bit though, i never forget that.
Hull notes:
– city of culcha
– An old fashioned peck on the cheek x
– Suicide in the Trenches: started by Peter, who then wandered off. Carl was affronted, waiting for him to come back to carry on, coughing loudly to get his attention but it didn’t work lol so he had to just sing the line alone ;(
– Peter: *lies down on drum riser*
Me: something’s gonna happen
Carl: *keeps wandering around the stage*
Carl: *keeps wandering*
Carl: *eventually lies down on and/or with Peter, face up*
@jessinthesky: *throws plastic cup at head of guy standing in the way of our view with great accuracy*
– Peter (both today and yesterday) sang a few snippets of songs i didn’t know and no one else seemed to pick up on either. New bits of work, or just too short for anyone to recognise??
