Mark’s reaction when James Allen talked about Fernando being “a difficult character”
me: actually, english is not the most difficult language to learn…
right-wing american who almost failed Spanish 2 in high school: how dare you. the past tense of think isn’t thinked, it’s thought. how much harder can a language possibly be? enough and though don’t even rhyme. english is at the apex of linguistic complexity. how dare you.
I think about Peter’s reaction to the trailer for Carl’s sexy movie way too often:

I have a whistling kettle and I love him
The only time I’ve used one was in France. Can’t say I trusted it fully tbh ¬_¬
Listen. This is very important and I cannot stress it enough. If you’re a non-British fic writer and are writing a fic set in the UK, no-one has a whistling kettle. Literally everyone uses an electric kettle, for everything you could possibly imagine using hot water for. Tea, coffee, boiling pasta, potatoes, vegetables, doing the washing up – kettle. Electric kettle. Nothing betrays an American fic writer quicker than “the sound of the kettle whistling”. Really messes with my suspension of disbelief man >.>
