1, 3, 7, 8 and 20 please? :)

1. is there a story you’re holding off on writing for some reason?

There was – I held off writing my retirement fic, then I wrote ¾ of it and the bugger decides to unretire (TBC) -_- So that’ll learn me! There’s a bunch of stories I’d like to write but I know I wouldn’t be able to do a good job – gambler, mafia etc – so that’s more of a “maybe, one day…” while hoping someone else takes pity on me and adopts them lol.

3. what order do you write in? front of book to back? chronological? favorite scenes first? something else?

If I’m writing in a notebook I often do start at the back, just in case someone picks it up – they’re less likely to stumble on unexpected gay porn lol. But otherwise I almost always write in chronological order because I hate having to go back and fill in gaps.

7.

when asked, are you embarrassed or enthusiastic to tell people that you write?

I’ll tell anyone, and often do, haha. I like to think saying I’m a writer makes me sound smrt.

8.

favorite genre to write

Undeniably, fluff. Or at least, twu wuv even if it’s in trying circumstances (cf, zombies)

20.

do you write in long sit-down sessions or in little spurts?

Very short spurts (matron). Often not even a complete sentence at a time. Takes me a long time to cogitate!

Thank you 😀

2, 4, 11!

2.

what work of yours, if any, are you the most embarrassed about existing?

Ha! I’ve been writing fic for 16 years, I don’t even wanna think about some of the early stuff I wrote XD You know the sort of thing, when you’re still too nervous to use the word “cock”… Also one should probably never post the first couple of fics one writes for any fandom, but also fuck it, you’ve got to start somewhere!

4.

favorite character you’ve written

Oooh that’s tough. And really hard for me to tell when I’m only in one fandom at a time and basically only write the same two characters in any particular fandom, lol. I don’t think I loved writing Yasu and Subaru any less than I love writing Rob and Felipe, or I wouldn’t’ve done so much of it, haha.

11.

what aspect of your writing do you think has most improved since you started writing?

Huh, that’s a good question. I like to think my writing has got more straightforward, less unnecessary floweriness and fewer too-long sentences.

Thanks!

On the subject of honours

Imagine being so buthurt about your gov not being able to honour Lewis Hamilton that you feel the need to drag Claire Williams and Susie Wolff to be praised for what they do (which is completely different from what Hamilton does but why would it matter when you want to prove a meminist point).

Read the first line and noped out of there. I’m so tired of white middle aged male bullshit.

(FYI the honours system is a joke that’s desperately trying to cling on to the days of empire. Why anyone gets this bent out of shape about who gets what is laughable.)

I’ve been engaged in a Twitter convo with him about this and he literally said “I’ve been attracting people to motorsport for years. Where’s my award?” ARE YOU ACTUALLY JOKING ME WHAT AGE ARE YOU?! Pitifully immature and pure churlishness. I blocked him, and I didn’t even block the waistcoat fella!
