Tramlines

I feel like I should write down some stuff from Tramlines so I remember, even though I’ve half-forgotten already like an idiot lol.

Like towards the end of the set, Carl pounced on Pete in what I took to be an affectionate way lol but it was over the other side of the stage and, to my frustration, I didn’t have the clearest view. They seemed to cling onto each other for some time, and when Pete came back to the front of the stage, by himself, he made a little sort of “calm down” gesture, idek. Then at the end of the set, Carl was super into Gary, starting a chant for him and leaping onto him (front first) and holding on with all four limbs, lol. I feel like Carl would’ve happily stayed onstage and done more songs if he’d been allowed, lol.

They (Pete especially) continually knocked their mic stands over and off the stage. There was also a lot of Corbyn-ing, instigated by the crowd first and encouraged by the band.

There was also the bit where Pete started talking about going to watch court cases to find out who was going to prison, and then going and squatting in their houses, lol. At the time I had NO idea what he was talking about lol but I saw someone talking about it on IG or sthg afterwards.

I didn’t really know what to expect from their set but I was so pleased to see Pete looking so well, and he and Carl being so chummy (lbr that was my main angle in wanting to see them in the first place, ofc).

I went to Tramlines having not listened to their music in years, excited but mainly for nostalgia reasons, and just look at me now ffs, all I’ve done all week is listen to their albums over and over and watch interviews and read fic and lurk social media lol. I REGRET NOTHING except my lack of sleep.
