OK this is as dumb as usual but I’ve just gotta get it out so I don’t forget my train of thought OK. But I was genuinely shocked when Charlie said all those horrible things to the girl who genuinely liked him and was sweet! It seemed kind of un-Charlie-like and I was disappointed! But ofc I guess the joke is that he gets to go back to the Waitress who won’t ever ever be nice to him or like him, because Charlie doesn’t get nice things (well, neither does anyone lbr but Charlie less than anyone).
…That’s not really very comforting, cos it’s not really much better than him being nasty to a girl who’s done nothing at all to deserve it, is it lol. To quote, “Goddamnit Charlie!” I guess I just wanted him to win, just once, lol.
