I often see people say stuff implying they’re always pretending to not be anxious, or to be confident, or to know what they’re talking about, etc. “I’m just good at faking it~” …Um, how the hell do you know? Just cos no one’s ever told you they can see through you, doesn’t mean they can’t. If I’m feeling anxious or know I’m out of my depth, I always feel like everyone can see it very clearly, and finds it extremely annoying/unsettling/stupid. Usually they’re too polite to say anything, but I never assume my feeble attempts to seem normal and in control and pretend everything’s fine are successful in any way.
