what work of yours, if any, are you the most embarrassed about existing?

Ha! I’ve been writing fic for 16 years, I don’t even wanna think about some of the early stuff I wrote XD You know the sort of thing, when you’re still too nervous to use the word “cock”… Also one should probably never post the first couple of fics one writes for any fandom, but also fuck it, you’ve got to start somewhere!

Oooh that’s tough. And really hard for me to tell when I’m only in one fandom at a time and basically only write the same two characters in any particular fandom, lol. I don’t think I loved writing Yasu and Subaru any less than I love writing Rob and Felipe, or I wouldn’t’ve done so much of it, haha.

what aspect of your writing do you think has most improved since you started writing?

Huh, that’s a good question. I like to think my writing has got more straightforward, less unnecessary floweriness and fewer too-long sentences.

13. What type of AUs are your favorites? Give a general description.

Basically all of them? Lol. I like things that have parallels to canon in some way, but those can happen anywhere. I like quite simple AUs, like college or coffee shop (or road trip >.>), but I also like more niche things like concubines or assassins/spies or professional gamblers <.< There’s a few exceptions that I don’t care for, but by and large I just love throwing my OTPs together in any old AU setting!

34. Name a common type of fic that you cannot stand.

I’ve no time for that A/B/O business, that holds no appeal to me. And I wouldn’t say I can’t stand them, but something that I’d never even heard of until the past year or two is fake relationship stories? I’ve never even seen one for a pairing that I read (funny that, lol) but idk why everyone suddenly reckons they love them? Like… idgi?! Pretending NOT to be dating is a lot more interesting to me! 

46. If you could imagine the perfect fic, what would it be like?

Oh man. It’d probably be super-boring in terms of content but I couldn’t improve upon a length fic of my OTP from meeting, getting to know each other, shyly asking each other out, getting together, first times, meeting the families, moving in together, getting married, getting pets, all that domestic junk. Can’t get enough of it, as long as it’s well-characterised!

NEVAR FORGET! I feel like there’s so many popular sports anime recently, but their great ancestor, Prince of Tennis, has kind of been forgotten in the mists of time. Probably cos it was kind of shit lol but the fandom was immense!

Your favorite fandom (for the people; not the thing you fangirl over).

Well, I’m still very close friends with quite a few K8 people who I love very much ( @everydayfandom​), but I’m also so happy to have met all of the #MassaMafia, cos it’s just such a nice, laidback group? Like everyone is chill (except when we collectively go off on one about certain topics – the fandom that rants together stays together!) and drama-free and super-talented to boot. I love all of you guys #Mafia4Lyfe~

B. 

A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind.

There’s probably been a few of these but the one that springs to mind is actually my first real, proper fandom OTP – Heero/Duo from Gundam Wing (or 1×2 as we used to say in the old language). It was the dominant pairing and I was like nah I’m going to ship something less common – and then somehow I got into it, started writing it for like 3 years… Idk how or why, but it was a productive time! I think it probably happened through reading the huge amount of fic there was for that pairing – it varied hugely in quality, but it was very persuasive!

C. A pairing you wish you shipped, but just can’t.

Carlos Sainz/Daniil Kvyat. I love both of them, and there’s quite a bit of fic turning up for them, but it just hasn’t captured my imagination 😦

favorite fandom to write

I tend to only be able to write for one fandom at a time, so whichever one I’m writing for atm will be my fave I guess, lol. It’s very hard for me to look back and remember the ~experience~ of writing for other fandoms, even if I loved them very much at the time – I’m so flighty ;(

20. favorite character to write

I very much enjoy writing Rob, because I love writing his dialogue and trying to hear how he’d say stuff. I especially enjoy it cos he’s from my general dialect area so I get to use a few localised features I wouldn’t otherwise be able to use, lol.

26. story you’re most proud of

AND STILL Earthly Delights, lol. I wrote it when I should’ve been writing my thesis and I’m way more proud of it than almost anything I ever achieved academically lol, even though it’s completely without plot.

6. When did you get your first cell phone? What was it like? (Did it have a screen? Could you text? Was it a brick or flip?)

I was a fairly late adopter of mobile phones, I didn’t get one till 2002 I think, when I was 20/21. It was the standard of the day, the good old Nokia 3310. 

16. How did you spend New Year’s Eve 1999/2000? 

I don’t even remember. I think I wanted to spend it with my boyfriend, my mum wanted me to spend it with her, I think I possibly spent the first part with him and then with my mum but I’ve zero recollection what we did. It was probably tense and fraught like everything at that time of my life lol.

What’s the oldest article of clothing you still wear?

I’ve got a dress I got from New Look when New Look was a new shop, and I must’ve had it at least 20 years cos I’m pretty sure I bought it with my dad, and he’s been dead 18 years. Everyone always says what a nice dress it is too lol.
