1. Fandom/shipping. I’m including those together because they’re very closely intertwined for me – it’s rare I get involved in a fandom and not in the shipping side of it, and the ship is often a big factor in me sticking around a fandom. You make the best friends, reall friends, through shipping, and it’s just the most perfectly satisfying when your OTP give you those nice little moments – and the pleasure of reading a great fanfic is second to no other literary experience! You all know the feelings I mean, I needn’t go on about it need I 😉

2. Nature. I love flowers and birds and wildlife and the countryside and all that stuff. Love being alone in a peaceful natural setting. But only in nice weather lol, if it’s raining I ain’t going outside! 

3. African music. Specifically, the happiest music in the world is from Zimbabwe and South Africa, but music from Mali and Senegal is very soothing, and desert blues is so evocative. (But at the opposite end of the spectrum, I feel very complete happiness listening to the Monkees or Kanjani8 as well. Running the gamut, me.)

4. Cats. They’re just so great. I think they sense how much love I have to give them, cos they often come to me when I call to them, haha. 

5. FELIPE MASSA and his too adorable face I mean seriously my feelings on this matter run extremely deep and embarrassing. Just seeing his Instagram posts makes me so happy deep in my soul. Nevar leave us Felipe D;

3.  What’s your current OTP?

Rolipeeeee 4 lyfe. Ngl a big reason why I just couldn’t bring myself to have any real reservations about Felipe coming back to F1 was that we (and they) get ONE MOAR YEAR TOGETHER and that just made me so happy cos I legit didn’t know what I was going to do without seeing Felipe bothering bae on pitwall anymore. I love that they really, genuinely are good friends who understand each other and, as I mentioned in another answer, have a chemistry that makes you think of what could’ve happened in another universe… I love that believability in a pairing, feels so good to see them together~ And even when Felipe does retire for good, just knowing they’ll still be going on holidays together and talking on the phone or w/e every day just gladdens my pathetic fangirl heart ❤

15. Have you ever “shipped at first sight”?

Hmm. I’m sure I *have*, cos I’m a natural born shipper, but the example that springs to mind isn’t quite a ship, but as soon as I started watching Gundam Wing I knew I was ready to ship Quatre with *someone*. I didn’t even know slash was a thing that other people did at that time, but I already knew I liked gay stuff, canon or not, and he was *firmly* placed in that role for me from the start. Even though he didn’t really end up as part of an OTP lol. 

19. Have you ever shipped something despite yourself?

Oh, probably loads of old man ships, just cos ships leap out at me without me even having to try lol >.> Can’t remember any specifically rn but that’s probably for the best lol. Tbh it’s not even in spite of myself tho, I love all that weird shit! <.< 

26. Have you noticed a pattern in your shipping? Is there a romantic dynamic you’re more drawn to?

Cheerful one/grumpy one. Every major ship I’ve had that I can think of conforms to this pattern, haha. I like the gruffer one having a soft side that only the cheerful one can bring out *_*

38. Do you like and use ship names?

I do use them, cos that’s the way things are these days, but if they’re too silly I just can’t bring myself to. Case in point: if I was in Gotham fandom I could NEVER EVER use the term “Nygmobblepot”. Wtaf

Are you what George R. R. Martin would call an “architect” or a “gardener”? (How much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?)

I’ve never really tended to plan much – I usually have events that I want to happen, but I let the story unfold and see how they’re going to fit together. Occasionally though a lot of things occur to me at once that I need to write down and plan a bit more carefully so they don’t escape.

Do you have any discarded scenes/storylines/projects?

I almost never discard a scene, haha, and I hate doing so. And I usually prefer to think of ideas as “on the back burner” rather than completely thrown away >.>

Do you like more general prompts, or more specific ones?

Hmm. I think both are OK tbh! I quite like general ones where you can just take something and run with it, but then specific is also good cos the hard work is done for you. 😉

1. is there a story you’re holding off on writing for some reason?

There was – I held off writing my retirement fic, then I wrote ¾ of it and the bugger decides to unretire (TBC) -_- So that’ll learn me! There’s a bunch of stories I’d like to write but I know I wouldn’t be able to do a good job – gambler, mafia etc – so that’s more of a “maybe, one day…” while hoping someone else takes pity on me and adopts them lol. 

3. what order do you write in? front of book to back? chronological? favorite scenes first? something else?

If I’m writing in a notebook I often do start at the back, just in case someone picks it up – they’re less likely to stumble on unexpected gay porn lol. But otherwise I almost always write in chronological order because I hate having to go back and fill in gaps.

when asked, are you embarrassed or enthusiastic to tell people that you write?

I’ll tell anyone, and often do, haha. I like to think saying I’m a writer makes me sound smrt.

Very short spurts (matron). Often not even a complete sentence at a time. Takes me a long time to cogitate!

Oh, absolutely! I can’t imagine not doing, especially in a fandom where my pairing doesn’t have the greatest proliferation of fics these days. Got to dig back through the annals sometimes! ;3

10. What’s the most hard-core smut or kinky fic you’ve ever read (be honest)!

Well, there were those extremely long, extremely explicit retro F1 fics with the dom/sub/BDSM themes which aren’t usually of interest to me, but the fics were just *so* well written. And back in previous fandoms, years ago, people used to write any old bizarro shit just for the sake of it, lol. But I think maybe the most extreme is the watersports fic Again, one of those that was so well-written you couldn’t just hit back…. : 

15. What makes you pick up a fic, what makes it sound interesting?

If it’s for my OTP, I’ll give anything a try, even though I occasionally regret it lol. But usually I don’t, cos most Rolipe authors are great! ;3 Ngl even if something sounds like a great concept and well-written, if it’s not a pairing I care about, I won’t read it. And if it is a pairing I care about, as long as it’s well-written and the characterisation is decent, it could be any ridiculous cliche and I’ll still enjoy, haha. 

27. Name a type of fic that you wish there was more of.

Hmm that’s tough – I mean, ofc I just wish there was more fic for my pairings in general these days! I suppose I’d like to see more fic where the characters are/get together, but the rest of the story doesn’t revolve around their relationship. I mean, ofc I love stories that are just about the relationship as well, but I always want to see more external drama, and them dealing with it together, than drama within the relationship that causes them to have problems. That goes for all media tbh!

favorite pairing to write

Currently it’s obv Rolipe, but idk if I could ever say what my favourite pairing to write, ever, is – I love them all very deeply at the time I’m writing them! My OTPs tend to have a similar dynamic, ie varying degrees of cheerful one/grumpy one, but Rolipe has an interesting little twist in that the Grumpy One is also often the more publicly affectionate one. There’s some interesting tsundere-ness at work as well, with Rob going on about how annoying Felipe is etc when people try and get him to say nice things, but immediately and very fiercely defending him as soon as anyone starts slagging him off. And this is reminding me of the time I wrote a meme answer about why I love Rolipe and TUMBLR LOST IT and I never rewrote it but it was great ;(

20. favorite character to write

I enjoy writing both Rob and Felipe – Felipe because I get to pretend I’m a nice person, and Rob cos that’s more of an outlet for being the bastard I really am lol. (I know Rob’s not a full-time bastard, especially where Felipe is concerned, but he’s more bastardly than Felipe is and it’s cathartic ;3) Also, I know I’ve said this before but I do love writing Rob’s northernness as well 😉

31. easiest part of writing

Dialogue! It’s fun, flows easily, keeps the story moving and fills up lots of word space so you can write a whole chapter in no time! And writing characters’ voices is a fun challenge too – writing an ESL character like Felipe is interesting cos you have to try and think how they’d express particular things (I do love writing Massaspk ngl). Plus Rolipe bantz is just way too much fun and they give us so much inspiration – them taking the piss out of each other is just too easy to write, cheers lads~

42. do you plan or do you write whatever comes to your mind?

Usually I have only the vaguest of plans – often just a starting point or a general theme – and I wait, and I think, and eventually the rest unveils itself and I write it down as it does. Sometimes that takes a very long time lol. Occasionally I do have a much more detailed plan (or at least, my idea has more details) but usually I can’t force it – I have to wait until the bits come to me, or the result is usually poor.
