I am a hockey blog, but tbh this the best Gritty take I’ve seen. Cities should just have monsters, sports or no sports.

You know… I kept thinking Gritty should talk like the Honey Monster, and be like the Honey Monster, cos he basically is an orange Honey Monster. But since Gritty has existed, I’ve only just realised that America doesn’t have the Honey Monster. I guess that’s why they needed to invent Gritty?

I’d like to ask you a favor. I’d like to give away four books to a fan. These are Carl’s book, Bound Together, Peter’s Book of Albion and a biography of Peter. I live in Berlin. The easiest way would be to hand it over here in a cafe. If you or someone else is interested outside Berlin, we would have to talk about how I can send you the books.

Oh that is very kind of you! I hope you find someone to take them – I know there are people involved in the Secret Santa who’ve been after some, so this might be a good opportunity! I’m sure they’d pay postage if you were able to mail them. Thanks for letting us know! If anyone is interested, send me a message and I’ll see what we can do! (Cont.)

[Ocean Colour Scene] asked me to come onstage and sing a song called Robin Hood which was an absolute honour, I had to go backstage and try and sober up ‘cos we’d played before them, my solo thing, and I had to try and learn the lyrics and not get them wrong. Then I went and did the song, I came off and it was a moment like ‘Can’t wait to tell Peter this one!’ ‘You know that song we used to always sing back in the day, in the park, with the acoustic, yeah I just did that onstage with them!’ And he goes, ‘Did you? I did that two weeks ago! They came to my dressing room and they asked me to go and do the same thing!’

Throwback to when they changed the lyrics of Robin Hood to reflect their own tragic story. (x)
