1. What’s the first book to ever make an impact on you?

I was a very bookish child, and if I’d known fanfiction was a thing I would definitely have been writing it for the Chronicles of Narnia – I suspect I probably was, just with different names lol. A little after that I loved the Animals of Farthing Wood books, and then the Redwall series, and while they didn’t have an ‘impact’ in terms of my thinking or perceptions, I found them deeply involving and immersive and tbh that’s still the kind of impact I appreciate most from the media in my life!

3. What are the languages you speak?

English, Yorkshire, enough Japanese to get by, maybe enough Spanish as well but I’ve not tested that for a while lol.

4. As a child, what did you want to be when you grow up?

A writer. Wonder what happened there eh

5. A favourite quote?

“If you can keep your head while all around are losing theirs, you may have underestimated the gravity of the situation”

6. What’s the title of a book (or books) you’re reading now?

I’ve not read a fictional book in years, but I am reading a fanfic called Sense of Something Coming, which is a good title even though the fic subject matter could go either way 

7. Would you rather travel 100 years into the future or 100 years into the past?

The past – as long as I could come home after doing a bit of shopping, seeing a few films and stage acts, etc etc.

8. What’s the first political issue you ever get into?

The environment I suppose, which shouldn’t be political but is. I still care far more about environmental issues than anything else, because fuck humans frankly.

9. The beach or the mountain?

Hmm, beach I guess, but not necessarily the stereotypical lying around in the sun – I like being by the sea in general, it’s very soothing, but it’s nicest when it’s not too hot and not too cold, lol.

10. Any interesting dreams you’ve had lately?

I dreamt I was hanging out with the #MassaMafia the other night, which is always welcome! 

11. When was the last time you cried and why?

I honestly don’t remember! Which is nice!
